How do Beacons work?

Beacons are a USB hardware device.  You can purchase a Beacon from our store.

Beacons will update your status to IN when it sees the Bluetooth device and it will update your status to OUT when it no longer sees the Bluetooth device.

Think of Beacons like a Bluetooth Keyboard.  You can usually take your Bluetooth keyboard to the other room and continue to use it at your computer.  If your phone can see the Bluetooth signals that our Beacon is sending out, you must be IN.  If you stop seeing the signals, then you must be OUT.
