Role permissions in depth

What are Roles?

Roles are a collection of permissions that determine what users can see and do. By default, Simple In/Out creates 4 roles when the company is created. From there, users that belong to the Administrator role can change which permissions are on/off for other roles, create or delete roles, and choose which users belong to which roles. Think of roles as presets, which makes adding users much easier.
A special note about the Administrator role. This is the one role that cannot be edited or deleted. Every organization in Simple In/Out is required to have at least one user in the Administrator role. This user has permission to manage the company's users, settings, and can even destroy the whole organization. Be very cautious to only add users to this role that can be trusted beyond question.
To edit roles, go to simpleinout.com. After signing in, click Settings in the upper-right, followed by Roles on the left.

These users can see other users and their current statuses on the user board. If this permission is disabled, the user will not be able to see the board of users on the web or desktop, and the user board tab will be absent within the phone apps.

These users can see the time in which the current status was updated. In order for this permission to be enabled, the role must also have permission to view all users.
