How the Scheduled Statuses report differs from your calendar

Simple In/Out can synchronize your calendar events with Scheduled Statuses, reusing calendar information to update your Simple In/Out status automatically when the time comes. While this works well, there are a number of important distinctions between your calendar events and what you'll see in your Scheduled Statuses within Simple In/Out, and specifically the Scheduled Statuses report.

Time Ranges

Scheduled Statuses in Simple In/Out are distinct points in time. They are not time ranges like within your calendar. The time of a Scheduled Status is the time that Simple In/Out will apply this Scheduled Status as your current status on the Simple In/Out board.

If you have a calendar event for an hour-long meeting, the associated Scheduled Status will be at the start time (rounded to the nearest 15 minutes). There will not be another Scheduled Status at the end of the calendar event's time, and there will not be a range indicated in the Scheduled Status report.

If you had a calendar event that spanned a full week, say a week of vacation, that would translate again to only one Scheduled Status at the beginning of the calendar event. Because Scheduled Statuses are not ranges, that will not be reflected as a range in the Scheduled Statuses report.

All Day Events

Calendar events that range a whole day will be started on the hour of your choosing when setting up your calendar. This setting allows you to pick when a Scheduled Status for an all day event occurs, which provides a lot more control if your organization is using Followed User Notifications or Status Resets.

Recurring Events

Simple In/Out's calendar integration will allow for recurring events to recur. This will work as you'd expect.
