Why can't TimeClock access the camera on my device?

When you launch the app, you might see a screen that looks something like this...


This screen will appear when the application was unable to use the camera on your device for some unknown reason.

Some possible solutions to this problem are...

1). Try the 'Retry' button one or two times

2). Restart your device

3). Make sure your device actually has a camera. This should be the case for most phones and tablets. If you are running the application on a PC, please make sure that you have a working webcam plugged in.

4). Another application is currently using the camera. This should not be the case for most phones and tablets. If you are running the application on a PC, please make sure that another application (Zoom, Skype, etc) isn't currently using the camera.

5). If you are running the application on Windows 11 PC, restart the Windows Subsystem for Android (Launch the Windows Subsystem for Android application on your PC and select 'Turn off Windows Subsystem for Android'). It will be restarted automatically when you attempt to open the app again.
